Carnation Pinks Ultrasock

UltraSock is 437 yds (400 m) / 110 g of 80% SW Merino, 20% Nylon.  It knits up at 28 sts x 36 rows over 10 cm (4") on 3.25 mm (US 3) needles. 

Carnation Pinks is a beautiful mid depth pink with some rare speckles created from the still kicking dyestock of a previous colorway.  Once it's gone, it's gone forever.  The speckles created when a dyestock is used up in this way are unlike anything deliberately created.  They tend to be rare microspeckles and I swear are deliberately difficult to photograph though exceptionally fun to find while knitting!

UltraSock is soft enough for next to skin wear, but also machine washable and dry-able (cool water, low heat) so it's suitable for hard wearing items like children's clothing and the hats my boys attempt to wear into oblivion.  That said we still opt to hand wash and lay flat to dry all our hand knits for project longevity.   Projects that need significant drape will be better suited by this color on another base yarn.  Please email for assistance and check out the base yarn page.
